Bloating, cramping, and gas are three common gut symptoms from eating cabbage. It contains raffinose, a sugar that causes gas. Those with digestive issues should avoid eating it or reduce the amount in their diet.
Hot Sauce
Surprisingly, eating hot sauce isn’t recommended for those with gut problems. The capsaicin in chili peppers may be helpful in most people, but it also increases the intensity of stomach cramps and acid reflux.
Beans
Beans contain raffinose and high amounts of fiber. The latter can escalate irritable bowel syndrome and other gut issues.
Avoid With Care
These foods may be beneficial for most people, but gut problems can escalate if patients with a sensitive gut consume them. Therefore, it’s better to avoid them until the symptoms subside or indefinitely, should the gut disease be chronic.
